Rotarians create positive change and bring solutions to their communities and worldwide. Today I wanted to share with you the passing of former District Governor David Mylchreest.
Mr.Mylchreest was a member of Rotary for fifty years, past president of the Middletown Rotary Club, and in 1965 a Past District Governor of Rotary International. He was honored twice by his club as a Paul Harris fellow. He was also a veteran who served with honor.

Thank you for your service to your country and Rotary. ~ Gerry
The North Haven Rotary Club gave out about 70 new coats to the 1st graders at Lincoln-Bassett School in New Haven.
The Club allocates several thousand dollars each year to do this very important project at Lincoln-Bassett School as the children that attend this school are some of the most economically disadvantaged in New Haven.#2015WarmCoatProject #RotariansAtWork #ServiceAboveSelf
Another example of how Rotary is making a difference every day. I am so proud of all the amazing work you do! ~ Gerry
Another fabulous day with fellow Rotarians. This time I was blessed with the pleasure of meeting with the Rotary groups of Westport and Westport Sunrise. Here are a few pictures from a great day! Thank you Rotarians for all you do and for making me feel so welcomed. ~ Gerry

I had a lovely time on October 8th, 2015 with the fabulous Rotarians of the Madison Rotary Club. I love presenting to various clubs and learning about all the wonderful activities they are engaged in. It was also a pleasure to recognize Craig Bernard with his PHF+3 award. The Madison Rotarians have been actively involved in a wide variety of both community service and international humanitarian projects for over 86 years, from supporting the Rotary International Polio Eradication Initiative, to student leadership forums and local scholarships, to providing international efforts in Haiti and Uganda. They have also been a long time funding source to many local community organizations. Some of these local efforts include: Neighbor-to-Neighbor, Shoreline Soup Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, Madison Cares, and Warm the Children. It is wonderful to meet so many dedicated and caring Rotarians who are using their gifts to improve the community and world around them. I was honored to meet so many wonderful individuals.

All the best, Gerry
It was an absolute pleasure to speak at the Rotary Club of New Haven CT. I was honored to give a talk on service above self to a room full of attendees who clearly know exactly what that entails. This is a quality which is inherent in #Rotarians worldwide and is something that I am personally very proud of.
I also had the pleasure of pinning Rotary Club of New Haven CT newest member, Josh Kelly, for Junior Achievement, which was a wonderful moment to be part of.
I will be visiting all of the Clubs in my District this year to spread the word of Rotary and Service Above Self and I am looking forward to spending time with all of these clubs. I am looking forward to all our future interactions, as we work together to accomplish even more great things in our communities and the world.
