The North Haven Rotary Club gave out about 70 new coats to the 1st graders at Lincoln-Bassett School in New Haven.
The Club allocates several thousand dollars each year to do this very important project at Lincoln-Bassett School as the children that attend this school are some of the most economically disadvantaged in New Haven.#2015WarmCoatProject #RotariansAtWork #ServiceAboveSelf
Another example of how Rotary is making a difference every day. I am so proud of all the amazing work you do! ~ Gerry
I had a lovely time on October 8th, 2015 with the fabulous Rotarians of the Madison Rotary Club. I love presenting to various clubs and learning about all the wonderful activities they are engaged in. It was also a pleasure to recognize Craig Bernard with his PHF+3 award. The Madison Rotarians have been actively involved in a wide variety of both community service and international humanitarian projects for over 86 years, from supporting the Rotary International Polio Eradication Initiative, to student leadership forums and local scholarships, to providing international efforts in Haiti and Uganda. They have also been a long time funding source to many local community organizations. Some of these local efforts include: Neighbor-to-Neighbor, Shoreline Soup Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, Madison Cares, and Warm the Children. It is wonderful to meet so many dedicated and caring Rotarians who are using their gifts to improve the community and world around them. I was honored to meet so many wonderful individuals.
